Broccoli Salad With Raisin Recipe

Ingredients:

4 cups broccoli flowerettes
1/2 cup red onion-minced
1-2 celery-chopped
1 cup trail mix
1 cup raisins

Dressing:

1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup sugar1 tsp. celery seed

Chop broccoli flowerettes, onion, celery and put into salad bowl.

Add trail mix, raisins and dressing, and toss salad.

Add salt & pepper if desired, to taste.

Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. Some options you may want to consider for this salad are:

-Any other dried or fresh fruit.-Nuts and/or seeds-More vegetables-Spices like oregano, basil etc.

Mayonnaise can be replaced with yogurt or mixed 50/50. You might want to try your favorite flavored yogurt as well.

If you would rather not make dressing just use your favorite bottled one. It can be a creamy one like the one here or an oil/vinegar type.

As you can see this is a very basic salad so if you have something you think will enhance it just give it a try.
