Salad Perfection by Belinda Jeffery is one of a series of cookbooks with a DVD cooking course included. The DVD is about 75 minutes long and covers 5 of the 48 recipes included in this book. About the Author: Belinda Jeffery is an award winning TV food presenter, author, restaraunt reviewer, food editor and cooking teacher. She has written 2 cook books as well as the DVD series featured here. She is a personality on ABC Radio, and also judges for various food industry awards. About the Book: The first thing about Salad Perfection are the pictures! Each recipe has 2-3 small pictures showing some preparation and a large mouth-watering picture of each completed dish. Each one looks so good it's hard to choose which one to make! Each recipe also lists preperation time, cooking time, and nutritional value per serving. The recipes also give metric and imperial measures for all ingredients. The ingredients are quite fancy, but the methods for preparation are simply explained. The DVD included has the author preparing 5 dishes in a cooking school type of setting, with lots of good tips as she shares her expertise. Table of Contents: 1-Introduction The introduction is divided into two parts: Introduction To Salads, and Salad Tips and Skills. Introduction to salads has a brief summary followed by a list of some of the basic lettuces and onions with pictures to help identify the different varieties.
